This guide is designed for travelers seeking a relaxed + chill getaway! While Red River Gorge is known for its rock climbing, hiking, fishing and other outdoor activities, this guide focuses on slowing down and enjoying a laid back trip!

We stayed in an Airbnb in Stanton, KY! We found multiple places to stay at affordable prices! Heres are some affordable + luxury options:
-Three Suns Cabins (this is where we stayed!)
-The Hive at High Rock + Unique Stays
-Red River Glamping Tent
-Red River Gorge Inn
-Cliffview Resort
-Red River Gorge Cabins Rental
Our Airbnb was right next to a hiking trail + river so we did some exploring as well!

The Hive at High Rock is a nature immersive spa (you can also book a luxury cabin here)! We did the Thermal Spa with add ons (you pick your desired add ons when booking). My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this experience! We booked this on a hot summer day (~90°) so we were a little concerned that it was going to be hot + miserable, however it was quite the opposite! The Thermal Spa experience is pretty much fully shaded! They also offer massages, acupuncture, reiki + more. My favorite was the Oatmilk bath + cold plunge!

Places to eat:
-Toad’s BARn and Grill (wings are so yummy!)
-Red River Gorge General Store (Banana Pudding Ice Cream is AMAZING!!)
-Miguel’s Pizza
-Red River Rockhouse
-Sky Bridge Station
-Hungry Hiker
Where we stayed in Stanton, KY there weren’t too many options for restaurants, so we did most of the cooking at our Airbnb + enjoyed the back patio views!

The Gorge Underground offers glowing kayak tours, guided boat rides, paddle boarding + more! This was a fun experience with clear water + fish! It was a neat beginner friendly experience!
Your relaxed Red River Gorge getaway awaits!
